Bep is wishing everyone Chuc Mung Nam Moi (Happy New Year). We were open on Lunar New Year's Day. More and more people came to celebrate the beginning of the year of the Ox.
The special dish served on that day was Thit Kho Trung (caramelized braised pork belly) with pickled bean sprouts.

I would like to thank everyone for your support of Bep and for coming to Bep on the opening day, Monday 19th January 2009. The first opening turned out to be a great and promising beginning thanks to you all! I will continue to try satisfying your stomaches!
Merci beaucoup, Cam on (thank you in Vietnamese).

The long awaited BEP is finally having its first opening this MLK day: Monday, January 19th from 11 am to 10 pm.
Simple Cafe, a cozy French eatery, will be taken over by BEP every Monday. For now, it will be open exclusively on Mondays.
I will be taking control of the bep (kitchen in Vietnamese) and will be serving Vietnamese staples like Pho, Hu Tieu, Cha Gio, and Banh Mi.
For a quick bite, I recommend that you grab a Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich). BUT, nothing could be better than a nice, hot, steaming bowl of Pho (Tonkin beef noodle soup) or Hu Tieu (Saigon pork and shrimp noodle soup) during this arctic winter...
Every week, I will be posting the menu for the upcoming Monday as there may be changes and specials.
* BEP, at Simple Cafe: 346 Bedford Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11211 (Corner of Bedford Ave. and S. 3rd)
Hours: 11 am - 10 pm
Hope to see you here or there!
